Jacaranda street #28

A sun-dappled tunnel formed by old Jacaranda trees, Nuffield Street in the suburb of Rietondale.
Many older suburbs' roadsides are graced by these beautiful South American trees, that are now a declared invader species (they are no longer allowed to be propogated or grown).
I grew up in the shade of two big Jacarandas and I will always love them, as I love my Jacaranda City.

I took this photo at around lunch time today. Yes, the Jacaranda trees still have their leaves, although they are yellowing now. And yes, that is an ice-cream man coming down the road on his bicycle - we do still eat ice-cream, even in the middle of winter....and yes, the sun is shining again! Yay!

Looks great, I have a thing for tree lined avenues, this is a good one.

A stunning photo. I know the area well. Very similar to Muckleneuk, Lynwood and Brooklyn. I have always enjoyed running through these streets with the Jakaranda boulevards. regards, from The Renovator.
